Jamestown Container's New York manufacturing facilities
qualified for the New York State Department of Labor's Workplace Safety and
Loss Prevention Incentive Program (WSLPIP) last year, as our facilities in
Falconer, Buffalo and Rochester NY were judged compliant with NY state's safety
Every three years our plants must be re-qualified, and we have
just been notified that our certification has been renewed!
This voluntary program, also called Industrial Code Rule
60 (CR-60), rewards companies with a discount towards their workers
compensation costs if they comply with the state's 14-point Industrial Safety
Program. This program seeks to prevent
occupational illnesses and injuries by identifying, preventing, evaluating, and
controlling workplace hazards.
Jamestown Container is one of only 24 companies in
the entire state of New York to receive such certification.
